Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse (BHB) rose by the end of Wednesday’s trading session, bolstered by investment and industry stocks.
The general index levelled up 0.31% or 4.08 points to reach the level of 1,319.03 points.
Traded volume rose to 3.95 million shares on Wednesday from 3.18 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity soared BHD 1.03 million from BHD 758,510.
Bolstering the general index, the industrial sector gained 0.96%, backed by Aluminum Bahrain’s (Alba) 0.99% rise.
The banking sector grew 0.46%, as Khaleeji Commercial Bank, Al Salam Bank – Bahrain, Ahli United Bank (AUB), and Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) surged 4.85%, 1.06%, 0.74%, and 0.51%, respectively.
On the other hand, the services sector edged down 0.03%, affected by Bahrain Duty Free’s 0.66% fall.
By the end of trading on Wednesday, market capitalisation was estimated at BHD 7.83 billion.
