TASI, Nomu end Wednesday in red
Trading volume fell to 137.36 million shares on Wednesday against 139 million shares on Tuesday

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Wednesday 0.35% or 25.13 points lower reaching 7,229.56 points, dropping for the third consecutive trading session, and registering its lowest level since eight sessions.

Trading volume fell to 137.36 million shares on Wednesday against 139 million shares on Tuesday, whereas liquidity rose to SAR 2.89 billion ($771 million) from SAR 2.80 billion ($747 million).

The media, the food and staples retailing, the banks, the materials, and the telecommunication services sectors decreased 2.6%, 1.5%, 0.65%, 0.60%, and 0.40%, respectively.

On the other hand, the consumer services sector grew 2%, followed by the diversified financials sector with 1.9%, and the real estate investment traded funds sector (REITs) with 0.9%.

Al Inma Bank’s stock was the most active in terms of trading volume with 45.74 million shares generating SAR 696.86 million.

Mouwasat Medical Services Company’s stock led losers with 2.5%, whereas Malath Cooperative Insurance and Reinsurance Co’s stock topped risers with 4.9%.

In the meantime, the Nomu-Parallel Market index fell 0.71% or 25.68 points to reach 3,593.42 points.

Traded volume rose 109.46 million shares on Wednesday from 70.68 million shares on Tuesday, generating SAR 3.8 million, compared to SAR 2.22 million.

Arab Sea Information System’s stock tumbled 3.1% to SAR 12.32, whereas Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock increased 6.5% to SAR 66, after 41,580 shares were exchanged, generating SAR 2.67 million.
