QSE surges 108.63 pts at close Wednesday
Industries Qatar, and Masraf Al Rayan rose 0.20%, and 0.96%, respectively

Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday in the green zone after increasing 1.19% or 108.63 points to reach 9,502.36 points.

Industries Qatar, and Masraf Al Rayan rose 0.20%, and 0.96%, respectively.

The banks sector gained 2.32% after Qatar National Bank (QNB) levelled up 4.38%, and the real estate sector grew 1.20% as Ezdan Holding Group went up 2.20%.

On the other hand, the transportation sector shed 0.53% after Qatar Navigation (Milaha) and Qatar Gas Transportation Company Ltd (Nakilat) lost 1.51% and 0.11%, respectively.

Widam Food topped risers with 6.78%, whereas Qatar Islamic Insurance tumbled 1.93%.

Trading volume reached 10.5 million shares on Wednesday against 5.8 million shares on Tuesday, while liquidity rose to QAR 335.5 million from QAR 144.6 million.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock, up 2.76%, led in terms of traded volume with 3.88 million shares exchanged, while Qatar International Islamic Bank’s (QIIB) stock was the most active in terms of trading value, growing 1.42%, generating 91.97 million.

Earlier on Wednesday, the QSE’s main index slipped 0.07% or 6.20 points reaching 9,387.53 points.
