Bahrain Bourse gains 3 points in week
The main index wen up by 0.23% during last week

Mubasher: The main index of the Bahrain Bourse ended the week on a rise on the back of the stocks of the industrial and banking sectors, amidst a noticeable rise in liquidity.

The main index rose by 0.23% or 3.02 points, in the week that ended on 20 July, to the level of 1,320.4 points.

Traded volumes reached 40 million shares compared with 11 million last week, and traded values surged to BHD 6.50 million up from BHD 2.44 million in the week before, with the total number of transactions standing at 365 transactions last week.

The benchmark index gains were on the back of the industrial sector which grew 2.34%, as Alba added 2.41%.

Similarly, the banking sector increased by 0.54%, as Al Salam Bank and Khaleeji Commercial Bank went up by 3.26% and 2.83%, respectively.

On the other hand, the investment sector lost 0.91%, as GFH dropped 3.36% over the week, and led the declining stocks.

The services sector slipped 0.17%, as Trafco and Nass Corporation declined by 1.48%, and 2.29% respectively.
