TASI lost 52.3 points and closed the week at 7,261 points

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) saw a slight decline this week, while the Nomu-Parallel Market rose after closing four weeks in red.

The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) lost 0.71% or 52.3 points, and closed the week at the level of 7,261.13 points.

The market capital went down by 0.55% or SAR 9.59 billion ($2.56 billion) to SAR 1.72 trillion ($459 billion).

Traded values amounted to SAR 13.2 billion, decreasing by 11.2% compared to its levels last week, while traded volumes fell by 23.6% to 836.3 million shares.

As for the market sectors’ performance, the energy sector index led the decliners as it shed 1.8% followed by the food sector with 1.5%.

Meanwhile, banks and materials slipped 1.3%, and 0.93%, respectively, while the telecom sector rose by 0.51%.

Media and publishing led the rising sectors as it surged 8.5%, followed by investments and finance with 1.8%.

In the parallel market, the NOMU index added 1.4%, gaining 50.2 points this week, and closing at 3,645.9 points.

Total turnover reached SAR 16.5 million, with volumes totalling 626,000 shares, compared to SAR 53.3 million and 2.1 million shares last week.
