Mubasher: Bahrain’s Central Informatics Organization (CIO) on Sunday reported a 1% year-on-year increase in Bahrain’s inflation rate in June 2017.
The country’s consumer price index (CPI) reached a 0.6% month-on-month decline in June against 2% in May.
The statistics showed that housing and facilities, which represents 24% of consumers' spending, levelled up 3.1% in June, compared to the same period of the year before.
Food prices, which represents 16% of spending, grew 1.7% after a 1.6% drop in May 2017.
Bahrain’s inflation rate had previously recorded a 3.8% surge in April 2017.
