Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait started Monday’s trading session 0.24% or 16 points higher to reach 6,815.71 points.

Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices went up 1.37% and 1.98%, respectively, by 9:43 am Kuwait time.

The consumer goods segment topped gainers with 4.91%, backed by Americana which rose 14.2% to be the top winner.

Meanwhile, the technology sector led decliners with 4.38%, dragged by Automated Systems which dropped 6.63%.

The market’s trading value amounted to KWD 10.23 million after 41.38 million shares were exchanged through 1,210 transactions.

PetroGulf was the most active stock on which 5.07 million shares were traded, rising 2.63%.

NBK posted the highest liquidity of KWD 2.51 million, up 0.86%.
