Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a positive performance on Monday, backed by the rise of telecom and real estate sectors.

The DFMGI rose 0.08% or 2.97 points to reach 3,599.38 points.

The telecom sector added 0.54% as du went up 0.54%.

Trading volume reached 177.152 million shares on Monday, compared to 284.30 million shares on Sunday. Turnover amounted to AED 218.30 million, compared to AED 346.28 million.

The real estate sector added 0.42% after Emaar Properties and Emaar Malls Group (EMG) gained 0.99% and 0.81%, respectively.

The banks sector went up 0.13% as Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) grew 3.22% and 0.17%, respectively.

GFH Financial Group was the value leader with a turnover of AED 26 million, while Drake and Scull International (DSI) was the most active stock after trading 62.50 million shares.
