TASI rises for 2nd week in row
TASI went up 0.2% and closed at 7,179 points

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) continued the upwards trend and ended the week on a rise, while the Nomu-Parallel Market fell for the third consecutive week.

The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) went up by 0.2%, gaining 14.7%, and closed at the level of 7,179.3 points.

Meanwhile, the market capital increased by 0.21% or SAR 3.6 billion to SAR 1.698 trillion.

Traded values amounted to SAR 14.8 billion, compared to SAR 15.6 billion for the previous week, rising by 4.8%.

Similarly, volumes rose by 6.8% to 777 million shares up from 727.6 million shares in the week before.

As for the market sectors’ performance, seven sector indices registered a positive performance this week, led by REITs, which added 3.8%, followed by real estate with 1.9%.

On the other hand, 13 sectors declined, led by media and publishing that dropped 8.4%.

The telecom and banks sectors increased by 0.99% and 0.92%, respectively, while materials slipped 0.39%.

The main index of the parallel market (NOMU) went down 0.34% or 11.6 points to the level of 3,429.2 points.

Weekly traded volumes in the parallel market reached 573,000 shares, down from 881,000 last week, while turnovers totalled SAR 12.03 million, compared to SAR 22.8 million last week.
