EGX30 up, EGX70 adds 1.3% early Sunday
EGX indices opens Sunday up amid local buying

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices opened Sunday up amid local buying.

By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.08% or 11.2 points to the level of 13,122 points.

The EGX70 index rose 1.35% to 706.5 points, while the EGX100 index ascended 0.89% to 1,587.2 points.

The equally-weighted EGX50 edged up 0.06% to 2,052.7 points.

Trading volume stood at 3.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 11.8 million through 811 transactions.

Egyptian traders were net buyers by EGP 325,600, while foreign and Arab traders were net sellers by EGP 142,200 and EGP 183,400, respectively.

Blue chips including Egyptian Chemical Industries (Kima), Orascom Telecom, Egyptian Financial and Industrial (EFIC), and Citadel Capital levelled up 1.66%, 1.52%, 1.44%, and 0.93%, respectively.

Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) shed 0.12% to EGP 81.

On the other hand, blue chips including Elsewedy Electric Co, Egyptian Resorts Co, and Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals dropped between 1.05% and 0.6%.
