ADX stabilises amid lower turnover Sunday
Trading volume reached 63.7 million shares on Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a stable performance on Sunday, amid the decline of turnover due to lower trades.

The general index slightly declined 0.03 points to reach 4,492.63 points.

The energy sector topped gainers with a 2.26% rise as Dana Gas went up 3.33%.

On the other hand, the telecom sector fell 0.28% as Etisalat went down slid 0.28%.

The banks sector retreated 0.03% after United Arab Bank (UAB) and Sharjah Islamic Bank levelled down 9.94% and 2.94%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 63.7 million shares on Sunday, compared to 87.09 million shares last Thursdau. Turnover amounted to AED 74.29 million, compared to AED 109.37 million.

The main index is still moving sideways in the medium term, according to Hesham Hassan, head of technical analysis at Acumen for Securities.

The index sees support at 4,451 points and resistance at 4,537 points, Hassan noted.
