Mubasher: The Kuwaiti minister of electricity and water said on Monday that his country is planning to raise its production from liquefied natural gas (LNG) to more 2 billion cubic metres within the next five years.
Essam Marzouk added in a TV interview that Kuwait has a program to raise production to 500 million cubic metres in the next two years, starting with 200 million cubic last year.
The expansion in production comes in line with Kuwait’s oil strategy by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) to cover the rise in demand in the future, especially for water and electricity stations.
