GCC bourses still see cautious trades – Analysts
The markets may continue to see positive speculations

By: Mahmoud Gamal

Mubasher: The GCC stock markets need new liquidity to be able to break their important resistance levels, as investors are shying away from purchases due to increased tensions between the US and North Korea as well as oil prices decline.

The GCC bourses are expected to see trades within narrow ranges on Tuesday, in anticipation of improved liquidity and higher oil prices, capital market analyst Doaa Farouk said.

Volatility of global stock markets and the tendency of foreign investors to avoid risky trades on Gulf stocks will lead to more cautious trades in the markets, Farouk added.

Speculations still control trades due to the absence of catalysts and positive news related to some listed companies, the analyst said.

The markets may continue to see positive speculations until the end of August, capital market analyst Nawaf Al Ajmi said.
