Mubasher: The Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) on Wednesday issued 3-year bonds worth KWD 100 million.

The bonds will have a return of 2.5%, according to a CBK statement, while the issue was subscribed 4.9 times.

The central bank has issued KWD 2.3 billion in bonds since the beginning of 2017 in 24 issues.

Kuwait seeks to increase the bonds’ value to KWD 20 million and prolong the maturity period to 30 years, as well as issue sukuk, Anas Al Saleh, the Kuwaiti minister of finance, had said in an earlier statement.
