Mubasher: The Kuwaiti minister of oil minister, Essam Al Marzouq said that a small oil spillage was discovered near Qaruh Island in Kuwait on Friday, adding that ships owned by the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) have managed to contain the situation.

Al Marzouq noted that an air sortie was carried out to determine the presence of pollutants near the Kuwaiti Island, according to the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA).

The minister also stressed that the sortie was undertaken after satellite images showed a possible spillage near Qaruh while affirming that everything was under control.
