Rashpetco plans to drill two new wells in the first quarter of 2018

Cairo – Mubaher: Chairman of Rashid Petroleum Company (Rashpetco) Hisham Al-Attar said that Burullus fields’ natural gas output rose to 526 million square feet per day and more than 6,000 barrels of condensates.

Al-Attar added, during the firm's annual general meeting (AGM) to approve financial results for fiscal year 2016/2017, that Rashpetco plans to drill two new wells in the first quarter of 2018, according to a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum (MoP).

Rashpetco initiated the 9b phase of Burullus gas fields, he highlighted, adding that the firm will start production from the fields of Giza, Fayoum, and Raven after implementing facilities in the treatment plant as a part of the second phase of north Alexandria’s gas fields’ project.

The first phase of natural gas production from the fields of Taurus and Libra in north Alexandria had been linked with Rashpetco’s treatment plant last year, in coordination with British Petroleum (BP), he concluded.
