Emaar pushes DFM to rise in week

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) continued to rise during the week ended on 7 September, supported by the increase in major stocks, led by Emaar.

The general index rose by 0.12%, gaining 4.37 points, and closed at the level of 637.55 points.

The markets will regain its positive activities after Eid Al Adha, as pushed by the activities of major companies, like Emaar and its subsidiaries, as they expand abroad, Ehab Rashad, CEO of Al Safwa Mubasher Financial Services, said.

The real estate sector went up 1.5% during the week, on the back of Emaar, and Drake and Scull with 1.8% and 1.3% increase, respectively.

The investment sector grew 1.15%, as Dubai Financial Market’s stock rose 0.88%, and Dubai Investment 0.8%.
