Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) registered on Sunday the government’s shares which are 3.096 billion shares in the Public Investment Fund’s (PIF) portfolio at the Securities Depository Center Company (Edaa).
The government’s shares represent 74.3% of the total capital of the company, according to a statement to the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul).
The Saudi electricity firm noted that this registration will not impact negatively on the company.
SEC’s stock rose 1.5%, closing at SAR 23.80 on Sunday.
