QSE closes Monday with 1.2% drop
The drop was influenced by the decline in six sectors

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday in red, dropping 1.15% or 96.42 points to 8,278.76 points.

The drop was influenced by the decline in six sectors, led by the industrial sector with 1.23%, pressured by the decline in eight stocks, led by Qatari Investors with 2.37%, followed by Industries Qatar with 0.77%.

The banks sector also slid 1%, weighed down by the drop in all the stocks, except for QNB’s stock, which did not see any transactions today.

On the other hand, the real estate sector rose alone by 0.05%, on the back of Mazaya Qatar and Ezdan Holding with 0.84% and 0.65%, respectively.

General Insurance led the losing stocks with 9.9%, while Al Khaleej Takaful’s stock led the gainers with 4.2%.

Turnover rose 43.4% to QAR 187.16 million from QAR 130.54 million, while trading volume increased 41.4% to 11.13 million shares versus 7.87 million shares.

Dlala Holding’s stock was the most active in terms of liquidity, with a 1.29% hike to QAR 26.29 million, while Investment Holding had the highest trading volume at 2.44 million shares, rising 1.54%.
