Riyadh – Mubasher: The rate of Saudisation in Jeddah malls has reached 40%, Al-Watan daily newspaper reported on Tuesday, citing Mohammed Alawi, chairman of the committee for commercial centers at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The retail business sector is one of the richest sectors in terms of investment opportunities, he added.

The chairman called on malls to comply with the Saudisation decision to enable that important sector to participate in the national development plan in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, according to the newspaper.

The increase of the Saudisation rate in this sector will have a positive effect on the private sector by creating jobs, Mohammed Alawi added.

He told the newspaper that preliminary estimates for the number of malls in Saudi Arabia amounts to 2,000 malls.
