Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session in the green zone, bolstered by Arab buying.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose 1.01% or 137.29 points to the level of 13,730 points.

The EGX70 index levelled up 1.28% to 748.66 points, while the EGX100 index grew 1.14% to 1,670.59 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 1.25% to 2,217 points.

Market capitalization closed at EGP 730.27 billion, gaining EGP 7.5 billion.

Trading volume amounted to 363.35 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.4 billion through 35,200 operations.

Foreign and Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 28.55 million and EGP 1.4 million, respectively, while Arab were net buyers with EGP 30.02 million.

Blue chips including Egyptian Financial and Industrial (EFIC), Ezz Steel, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - Egypt (ADIB) rose 7.14%, 5.45%, and 5.03%, respectively.

On the other hand, Citadel Capital, Egyptian resorts, and Arabian Food Industries Co (Domty) fell 4.76%, 3.03%, and 2.67%, respectively.

The heavy-weight Commercial International Bank - Egypt (CIB) edged up 0.58% to EGP 82, with a turnover of EGP 141.36 million.
