Cairo – Mubasher: A Singaporean holding company has allocated EGP 18 billion to establish an integrated industrial zone in the Kom Oshim area of Faiyum governorate, a source at Egypt’s Ministry of Trade and Industry told Almal News.
On 19 September 2017, the ministry’s Industrial Development Authority (IDA) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Singaporean firm to set up the zone over a 33 million square metre area.
The IDA and the Singaporean firm will establish a joint company to be responsible for the new project implementation, including carrying out construction, maintenance, and project management.
