Credit facilities rise to QAR 900bn in August - QCB
The total value of credit facilities rose to QAR 900.02 billion from QAR 891.21 billion

Mubasher: Qatar Central Bank (QCB) statements showed a 0.99% month-on-month increase, or QAR 8.81 billion, in credit facilities by the end of August.

The total value of credit facilities rose to QAR 900.02 billion ($249.11 billion) from QAR 891.21 billion ($246.67 billion) in the previous month.

Over the month, the private sector share of credit facilities reached 58.4%, worth QAR 521.87 billion, as compared to 39.2% given to public sector, worth QAR 352.38 billion.

Moreover, loans granted to non-bank financial institutions increased to QAR 21.78 billion from QAR 21.57 billion.

The total value of circulated coins and banknotes grew to QAR 10.96 billion from QAR 9.49 billion in July.

Qatari banks financial assets also hiked 1.15% to QAR 1.317 trillion in August from QAR 1.302 trillion.
