Mubasher: The general index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) rose at close on Thursday, pushed by gains in four sectors led by the industrials sector.

The general index grew 0.15% or 12.72 points to 8,360.77.

The industrials sector added 1.03% after the increase in seven shares topped by Gulf International Services with 3.81%.

The banking sector inched up 0.05%, backed by Alijarah Holding, which rose 1.9%.

Meanwhile, three sectors tumbled, with real estate being the top loser, slipping 0.14%, weighed by Ezdan’s 0.37% decline.

Trading value nearly halved to QAR 167.77 million on Thursday from QAR 331.12 million on Wednesday, while volumes increased to 12.41 million shares from 10.42 million.

Investment Holding’s stock rose 3.39% and was the most actively-traded in terms of volume and value with 4.4 million shares traded at a value of QAR 34.8 million.
