Mubasher: Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) plans to sell a building of offices in Canary Wharf, the financial district in London at GBP 610 million ($610 million).

QIA appointed CBRE Group Inc., and Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. as brokerage companies for the selling process, Bloomberg reported on Thursday, citing sources as saying.

In 2016, the Qatari body offered the building for sale to diversify its portfolio and raise its assets in Asia and in the US, but the plan was suspended in June 2016.

Informed sources stated previously that QIA plans to implement transactions in the US, especially in the infrastructure field.

The Qatari authority reserves amounted to $300 billion, and currently it facing the crisis of GCC capitals withdrawal from the Qatari banks.
