Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait on Monday went down 0.27% or 18.6 points to reach 6,776.66 points.

By 9:45am Kuwait time, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices retreated 0.56% and 0.87%, respectively.

The consumer services segment led decliners with 1.12%, dragged by Eyas which lost 5.4%.

Meanwhile, the financial services sector topped gainers with 0.11%, backed by Amwal which rose by 13.9% to be the top winner.

Blue chips are in a state of rebound; however, the benchmark price index has declined due to the performance of both Americana and Humansoft’s stocks, capital market analyst Amir Al Mansour.

Americana has declined by 7.5%, while Humansoft retreated 1.25%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover stood at KWD 9.9 million after 28.03 million shares were exchanged through 1,051 transactions.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 2.76 million, falling 1.5%.

Zain was the most active stock on which 4.93 million shares were traded, down 0.8%.
