Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The number of national banks’ branches has increased by four to 838 branches by the end of the second quarter of 2017 compared to 834 branches in the comparative period.
Meanwhile, the 26 foreign banks, operating in the UAE, did not open new branches during the period, maintaining their 85 branches, a released by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) showed Monday.
The UAE’s banking sector comprises 22 national banks, according to previous data by the CBUAE.
