QSE ends Monday up for 5 consecutive sessions

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday in green, on the back of collective rise in all sectors.

The main index went up 0.64% or 53.95 points to 8,449.47 points.

The banks sector led the gainers with 0.87%, supported by the rise in many sectors, led by Al Khaliji Bank with 2.76%.

The real estate sector rose 0.82%, backed by Ezdan and Mazaya Qatar with 1.95% and 0.81%, respectively.

The industrial sector also grew 0.54%, with the Qatar Investors leading the seven gainers with 2.18%.

During the session, 24 stocks rose, led by Cinema Qatar with 4.17%, while Islamic Insurance led the 13 losers with 3.48%.

Turnover shrank to QAR 178.57 million from QAR 295.17 million, and trading volume declined to 7.58 million shares from 12.89 million shares.

Investment Holding, rising 0.13%, had the highest trading volume of 2.6 million shares, while QNB’s stock achieved highest trading value at QAR 34.4 million.
