TASI sees highest decline in two months
The main index closed at its lowest level since 20 August

Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) ended Monday’s trading session in red, witnessing its highest daily loss since last July.

The Tadawul All Shares Index (TASI) declined by 1.39% or 102.19 points, and closed at the level of 7,224.13 points, its lowest level since 20 August 2017.

Traded values rose to SAR 2.41 billion ($643 million), compared to SAR 2.1 billion ($560 million) in the previous session, while volumes reached 95.66 million shares, up from 87.6 million on Sunday.

Most of the market sector indices closed in red, led by banks, which dropped 2.24%, while telecom and materials fell 1.12% and 0.87%, respectively, while utilities gained 0.52%.

SABB led the session’s decliners, as it plumped 3.61% to SAR 26.70, while Vitrified Clay Pipes was the top gainer and surged 9.97% to the level of SAR 51.30.

Meanwhile, the Nomu-Parallel Market saw a marginal loss, as the main index (NOMU) slipped 0.04%, decreasing by 1.28 points, and closing at 3,437.98 points.

Total turnover jumped to SAR 12.7 million from SAR 1.5 million yesterday, with traded volumes amounting to 185,780 shares, compared to 34,130 shares on Sunday’s session.
