Mubasher: Larsen and Toubro was awarded a contract valued at KWD 262 million from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to build a new pipeline for transferring crude oil from North Kuwait to Al Ahmadi area in the South.
This project is expected to be accomplished by the third quarter of 2020, and it will transfer million barrels per day (bpd), Alanba Newspaper said, according to MEED Magazine.
The Indian company has proposed its offer in July, while the Lebanese firm Consolidated Contractors Company has offered the second lowest offer at a value of $312 million.
It is noteworthy that KOC is currently working on developing the infrastructure system for transferring crude oil in Kuwait, aiming to raise oil production to 4 million bpd by 2020.
