Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s trading session 0.22% or 15.2 points to reach 6,782.71 points.

Similarly, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices went up 0.38% and 0.51%, respectively.

The main index is facing resistance at 6,790 points, which is an important level from which the index will reach 6,850 points, capital market analyst at FXTM company Nawaf Al Oun said.

The analyst noted that the current support level is at 6,745 points.

By 10am Kuwait time, the technology segment topped gainers with a rise of 1.7%, followed by the financial services sector which gained 0.6%.

Meanwhile, the consumer goods sector led decliners with 1.1%, dragged by Livestock which lost 3.23%.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover stood at KWD 5.33 million after 24 million shares were exchanged through 985 transactions.

Zain was the most active stock on which 3.15 million shares were traded through 103 transactions at a value of KWD 1.6 million, rising 0.59%.
