Cairo – Mubasher: OPPO Electronics Corp is in talks with the Egyptian government over establishing a smartphones factory in Egypt, brand director for OPPO MENA Andy Shi told Shorouk News.

These negotiations may succeed depending on the investment incentives the government will provide the company with, Shi added.

The Chinese firm has succeeded in increasing its sales in Egypt by 131% year-on-year in 2017, as it has six maintenance centres in the country, he highlighted.

The electronics firm is willing to activate the fourth generation (4G) cellular services, as it is the first company to offer 4G mobile phones since 2014, he noted.

OPPO is currently focusing on abandoning its medium-quality products not only in Egypt but also globally owing to its high-quality standards.
