Kuwait - Mubasher: The Kuwaiti deputy Prime Minister and minister of finance, Anas Al-Saleh said on Tuesday that despite challenges facing the Kuwaiti economy, over KWD 1 billion ($3.27 billion) were saved in the government’s expenditure between 2016 and 2017.

Al-Saleh said during the opening of the 9th round of the 'Euromoney Kuwait 2017' that the government began its "New Kuwait" economic and financial reform to diversify the country's non-oil revenues to help support Kuwait's vision 2035, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The minister also indicated that since the sharp decline in oil prices, various government bodies began to implement measures to ease the effects of the decrease, and according to Al-Saleh the plans seem to be going on course.
