STC inks agreements wth Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei

Riyadh - Mubasher: Saudi Telecom Company (STC) signed on Tuesday a number of agreements with international companies, on the sidelines of the GITEX Technology Week 2017 in Dubai.

The company said in a statement on Tuesday, that it has signed an agreement with Nokia to enhance the company’s mobile broadband and network coverage in across the kingdom using wireless systems technology, Pro Technology 4.5.

The second deal was signed with Huawei Technologies for 5G mobile networks, in order to meet the increasing demand of its subscribers, and lead the development of the information technology sector, in support of the Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program (NTP) 2020.

STC also signed an agreement with Ericsson, which will allow for improving the level of the company’s service and operations quality, as well as providing managed infrastructure services and electromechanical equipment for mobile access sites.

The mobile operator has also signed a contract with Al Latifia Trading and Contracting Company to build a Network Control Center (NOC).

The deal will allow Al Latifia to implement the network control building as well as the multi-storey parking lots.

The building will be established inside King Abdul Aziz Telecom Complex in Al-Mursalat in Riyadh, as per the statement issued by STC.
