Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) closed Thursday in the green zone after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) soared 1.4% or 97.78 points to reach 6,987.76 points.
TASI’s liquidity stood at SAR 5.23 billion on Thursday, against SAR 3.4 billion on Wednesday, while trading volume increased to 160.36 million shares, from 147.55 million shares.
The food and beverages sector rose 2.2%, followed by capital goods with 2%, banks with 1.9%, telecommunication services with 1.4%, and materials with 1.2%.
United Electronics Company’s (eXtra) stock levelled up 7.8%, whereas Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance’s stock fell 2.9%.
Al Rajhi Bank’s stock led TASI in terms of trading volume after 40.25 million shares were exchanged, with a turnover of SAR 2.64 million.
In the meantime, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market retreated 2.2% or 69.01 points reaching 3,063.62 points.
Nomu’s trading value reached SAR 5.54 million on Thursday, against SAR 838,290 on Wednesday, while traded volume rose to 101,800 shares, from 39,410.
Thob Al-Aseel Company’ stock decreased 4.7%, whereas Raydan Co’s stock went up 8.6%.
Thob Al-Aseel Company’s stock led Nomu’s trading volume after 81,760 shares were exchanged, generating SAR 5.16 million.
