Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait indices closed in the red zone in the week ended on Thursday, 12 October after its main price index dropped 0.5% or 33.57 points reaching 6,628.54 points, against 6,662.11 points in the week before.

The weighted index declined 1.54% points or 6.74 points to reach 431.55 points, while Kuwait-15 index levelled down 2.31% or 23.8 points reaching 1,004.94 points.

On a weekly basis, Boursa Kuwait’s trading volume slid 21% to 655.7 million shares, from 829.6 million shares.

Liquidity retreated 18.3% to reach KWD 129.17 million in the week ended on Thursday, 12 October, against KWD 158.06 million in the previous week.

On a weekly basis, the number of transactions levelled down 12.3% reaching 22,460 transactions, from 25,600 transactions.

Boursa Kuwait’s market capitalisation lost 1.6% or KWD 470 million ($1.56 billion) to reach KWD 29.37 billion in the week ended on Thursday, 12 October, against KWD 29.84 billion in the week earlier.
