Dubai – Mubasher: Rotana Hotel Management Corporation on Thursday unveiled its expansion plan in many European cities such as London, Geneva, Barcelona, Paris, and Frankfort, the chairman of Rotana Hotels, Nasser Al Nowais, said.

Rotana Hotels’ expansion in the European markets is considered the beginning to enter the global market, Al Nowais added, according to Al Ittihad newspaper.

The expansion plan over the next three years includes 49 new hotels in the UAE and abroad, namely in 26 cities in the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, with a total cost of AED 12.1 billion, Al Ittihad reported. 

By this expansion, the number of the company’s hotels will rise to 100 by 2020, while it will add 12,296 room keys to its portfolio, bringing up the total number to 27,300 room keys, Al Ittihad added, according to a company statement.

Rotana is expected to open 16 new facilities by the end of 2018, the company told Al Ittihad.
