Cairo – Mubahser: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) is likely to maintain positive performance on Tuesday, analysts told Mubasher.

Ahmed Thabet, technical analyst at Jazira Securities Brokerage, forecasted the benchmark EGX30 index to break above 13,940 and 13,950 points and it may face downside potential at 13,870 and 13,860 points.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) may carry on rising, Thabet added, pointing out that it may see a slight profit-taking at EGP 78.15 and EGP 78.5.

The housing, financial services, banks sectors are expected to see a positive performance on Tuesday, Thabet indicated.

The EGX70 index is likely to retest 820 points after witnessing profit-taking recently, he added, noting that the index has support at 775 and 778 points.

Moreover, the economist and market expert Safaa Fares said that the EGX30 index has resistance at 14,000 points, targeting 14,200 points.

The EGX30 index has support at 13,760 points, targeting 13,570 points, Fares noted.

The economist added that the EGX 70 index may see resistance at 793 and 805 points and support at 780 and 773 points.
