Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Tuesday’s trading session on a missed note amid local buying.
By 10:09 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index gained 0.77% or 106.84 points to the level of 13,977.18 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank – Egypt (CIB) edged up 0.15% to EGP 77.72.
Blue chips including Palm Hills, SODIC, and Emaar Misr levelled up 3.67%, 2.77%, and 2.63%, respectively.
On the other hand, Elsewedy Electric Co opened the session down 0.45%.
The EGX70 index shed 0.53% to 780.32 points, while the EGX100 index inched down 0.2% to 1,747.49 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.87% to 2,458 points.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with EGP 3.6 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 65.9 million and EGP 3.6 million, respectively.
