Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) on Tuesday said that its profits levelled up 4% in the third quarter of 2017, compared to the year-ago period.

Du’s net profits amounted to AED 475.65 million ($124.57 million) in Q3-17, compared to AED 457.23 million ($124.46 million) in Q3-16, according to a statement to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).

Employees’ expenses declined 3.3% to AED 738.56 million in Q3-17.

The expenses of telecommunication license and related fees retreated 53% reaching AED 41.79 million by the end of Q3-17.

At the level of the first nine months of 2017, the telecommunications provider’s net profits tumbled 7% to reach AED 1.287 billion, compared to AED 1.382 billion in the same period in the year earlier.
