Riyadh - Mubasher: The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) is expecting a continuous decline in inflation rate in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Actual data show a downwards trend at a slower rate in inflation, and it is expected to continue in negative in case none of the financial balance programme initiatives are applied in the upcoming period, according to SAMA’s report on inflation in Q3 that was issued on Monday.

SAMA said that some economic reforms recently took place, including energy prices, which is why inflation is set to relatively increase in Q4-17.

Inflation rate in Saudi Arabia levelled up 0.6% in Q3 compared to the previous quarter, while the cost-of-living index registered a 0.2% year-on-year decline.
