Mubasher: Gold prices rose on Monday to its highest close in six weeks, as the US dollar saw a mixed performance while oil prices surged to its highest level in two and a half years.
Gold futures went up 1%, increasing by $12.40 and closing at $1,281.6 per ounce, its highest level since the end of last September.
Last Friday, the precious metal declined to its lowest in three months, registering weekly losses of around 0.2%.
