TASI tumbles 70 pts, Nomu stable at Wednesday’s open

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Wednesday’s session in the red zone after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged 1% or 70 points to reach 6,896.78 points.

By 10:30 am KSA time, TASI’s trading volume reached 27 million shares, through 13,870 transactions, with a liquidity of SAR 501.2 million.

The media, consumer services, banks, materials, and telecommunication services sectors went down 7.73%, 2.83%, 0.98%, 0.71%, and 0.32%, respectively.

Malath Cooperative Insurance Company’s stock led TASI’s losers with 7.56% to reach SAR 12.44, whereas Abdul Mohsen Al Hokair Group for Tourism and Development Co.’s stock increased 5.56%, reaching SAR 22.70.

Meanwhile, the benchmark index of the Nomu-Parallel Market remained unchanged at 2,989.23 points.

Al-Samaani Factory for Metal Industries’ stock surged 13.46% to SAR 55.60, whereas Arab Sea Information System’s stock retreated 12.50%, reaching SAR 11.12.
