Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait indices closed Thursday in the green, marking their second collective gain in a row.
The price index grew 1.27% or 78.4 points to close the session, and the week, at 6,258.47 points, while the weighted and Kuwait 15 indices added 1.86% and 2.52%, respectively.
A total of seven sectors ended the session up, led by telecommunications with 2.5% after Ann Digital and Zain surged 13.2% and 4.2%, respectively.
The banking sector increased 1.5% after nine of its stocks ended up, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) jumped 4.22%, while the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) added 1.5%.
On the flipside, three sectors ended the session in the red, led by consumer services with 0.23%, pressured by Al Oula Fuel and Jazira Airways, which fell 4.4% and 0.3%, respectively.
Turnover declined 11.4% on Boursa Kuwait on Thursday to KWD 18.77 million from KWD 21.19 million on Wednesday, while traded volume slipped 1.2% to 98.47 million shares exchanged against 99.67 million in the previous session.
KFH’s stock was the most active in terms of value and volume with KWD 4.86 million and 9.1 million shares traded.
