Subsequent to the announcement on 13 November 2017, Oman Telecommunications announces that each of the following Saud Ahmed Al Nahari, Mehdi Mohamed Al Abduwani, Martial Caratti and Nigel Govett (the ‘Members’), have been appointed to the Board of Directors of Mobile Telecommunications Company ("Zain") as Non-Executive Directors. They will be replacing each of the following: Khaled Ali Al Ghanem, Talal Jassim Al Kharafi, Faisal Nizar Al Nusf and Khalid Waleed Al Falah who have stepped down from the Board of Zain. The Board of Zain is undertaking necessary documentation to complete the related appointment procedures.

The above follows Omantel’s acquisition of a 12.1% stake in Zain, which was completed following a public auction process on the Boursa Kuwait on 12 November 2017.
