Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Tuesday’s trading session with a mixed performance; the price index retreated 0.32% or 20.2 points to reach 6,230.43 points.

Meanwhile, both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.35% and 0.356%, respectively.

By 9:48am Kuwait time, the consumer goods sector topped gainers with 5.05%, backed by Kuwait Food – Americana which jumped 20% to be the top winner.

Meanwhile, the insurance segment led decliners with 3.25%, dragged by Kuwait Insurance which lost 12.3%.

The telecom sector fell by 1.2%, in line with the 0.44% decline of Zain.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 2.66 million after 14.3 million shares were traded through 655 transactions.

Human Soft posted the highest liquidity of about KWD 986,700.

Ithmaar was the most active stock on which 2.53 million shares were exchanged, reaching 28.2 fils.
