Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session with a grouped rise, backed by the positive performance of six sectors.

The price index went up 0.57% or 35.50 points to close at 6,285.56 points, the weighted index gained 0.60%, and the Kuwait-15 index edged up 0.63%.

The oil and gas segment topped gainers with 2.67%, backed by IPG which rose by 10.96%.

The real estate sector added 1.31% in line with the 25% jump of Aqar Real Estate.

Meanwhile, the consumer services segment led four decliners with 1.06%, dragged by Muntazahat which lost 10.14% to top the losers.

Boursa Kuwait’s turnover jumped to KWD 23.17 million on Wednesday compared to KWD 11.22 million in the previous session, after the trading volume grew to 103.48 million shares from 59.99 million.

Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 13.2 million shares were traded, closing at 158 fils.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 4.9 million, up 0.4%.
