Mubasher: The benchmark price index of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s trading session 0.38% or 23.75 points higher at 6,309.31 points.

The weighted index gained 0.17%, and the Kuwait-15 index edged up 0.12%.

The consumer services segment topped gainers with 2.45%, backed by Kuwait Cable which rose by 18.42% to top the winners.

The banks sector went up 0.44%, backed by Ithmaar which added 4.18%.

Meanwhile, the financial services segment led four decliners with 0.13%, dragged by Al Madar Finance which lost 5%.

Boursa Kuwait’s trading value shrank to KWD 9.21 million on Thursday compared to KWD 23.17 million on Wednesday, after the trading volume decreased to 67.89 million shares from 103.48 million.

Unicap Investment was the most active stock on which 20.6 million shares were traded, rising 2.1%.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) recorded the highest turnover of KWD 1.5 million, closing at 549 fils.
