The general index fluctuated over the week on the back of the blue chips, particularly Etisalat and Aldar Properties, Eyad Al Bariqi, director general of Al Ansari Financial Services, told Mubasher.

Blue chips led the ADX’s losers, headed by Etisalat, which declined by 3.5% during the week to AED 16.6.

Dana Gas lost 1.4% to AED 0.72, as investors were anticipating the results of the sukuk case.

The ADX’s trading volume decreased to 229 million shares over the week from 381.98 million shares in the week ended 9 November, while the market’s turnover dropped considerably to AED 449.2 million, compared to AED 715.17 million in the previous week.
