Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s session in the red zone amid local selling.

The benchmark EGX30 index closed 0.76% or 105.3 points to the lowest level since 22 October at 13,742.11 points.

The Commercial International Bank (CIB) slipped 0.35% to EGP 73.19 at a turnover of EGP 19.36 million.

The EGX70 index dropped 1.09% to 754.73 points, while the EGX100 index tumbled 0.95% to 1,715.46 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 fell 1.4% to 2,411.69 points.

Market capitalisation closed at EGP 767.99 billion, losing EGP 3.04 billion.

Trading volume stood at 217.6 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 684.1 million through 23,700 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 110.2 million, while Arab and Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 37.7 million and EGP 72.5 million, respectively.
